Rampal Latour Soap Factory
The history of the Rampal soap factory began in 1828, when Pierre Rampal became Master Soap Maker at the Court-de-Payen soap factory in Marseille. Five generations of Master Soap Makers followed him. In 1907, the "Rampal-Fils" soap factory opened in Salon-de-Provence. A century later, René Rampal passed on his artisanal soap factory "Rampal Patou" to Jean-Louis Plot. A new brand then emerged: "Rampal Latour", guardian of authentic ancestral savoir-faire.

Established in 1907 in Salon de Provence, the City of Soapers, the Rampal Latour soap factory opens its doors to you all year round. We welcome you for free tours of our two production sites: our historic factory created in 1907, and our modern factory built in 2016. In a friendly and warm atmosphere, the guided tour will lead you to discover the Rampal Latour expertise dating back to 1828, and the craft of master soap makers through time.

Concerned about improving the quality of our soap and the ecological footprint of our soap factory, after 3 years of research and 2 patent applications, we have developed an improved manufacturing technique, making it possible to use 4 times less water and 7 times less energy for its production. In addition, this patented process improves the moisturizing and protective virtues of our Marseille soap, thanks to the natural glycerin it now retains during saponification.
